Biological Analysis of Time

CheolWon Chang works mostly in paintings and drawings, but he has also expressed his conception of time through video. While he was an exchange student in England, Chang experienced the time difference between England and South Korea while calling his family in Korea. For instance, London is 8 hours slower than Seoul, and Islamabad of Pakistan is 4 hours slower than Seoul. When the time of these three cities are placed on a single clock, each will be 0 o’clock, 4 o’clock and 8 o’clock, and the hour hands will form an equilateral triangle. He made a video based on this motif, and in 2013 his video was shown in SEOULSQUARE, the world’s biggest media façade, for two weeks.
